Dr Mahdiyyah is a general practitioner with a special interest in mental health and holistic well-being. She created Brainwaves Health to offer patients convenient access to medical care and trusted advice.

3. What services do you offer?
We provide online consultations via secure video conferencing for a range of medical concerns, including:

  • Mental health support (anxiety, depression, burnout, etc.)

  • General medical advice and treatment

  • Preventive health screenings

  • Medication reviews and prescriptions

  • Lifestyle and wellness consultations

We provide in-person, home visit consultations if you live in the Cape Town Southern Suburbs. Please contact us directly should you wish to book a home visit.

4. How do online consultations work?
You can book a consultation here by selecting a suitable time. At your scheduled time, you’ll have a secure video call with Dr. Mahdiyyah, where she will assess your concerns, provide guidance, and if necessary, issue a prescription, sick note, lab form or referral.

5. Can I get a prescription through Brainwaves Health?
Yes! If medically appropriate, prescriptions can be provided during your consultation. Some medications may require an in-person assessment, but we will guide you accordingly.

6. Do you offer sick notes or medical certificates?
Yes, if deemed necessary after a consultation, we can issue valid sick notes and medical certificates.

7. Is online healthcare as effective as in-person visits?
Telehealth is a great option for many medical concerns, especially for mental health support, follow-ups, and general medical advice. However, some conditions require physical examinations or tests. If an in-person visit is needed, we will provide the right guidance.

8. How much do consultations cost?
Our consultation fees are transparent and are displayed on our booking page. We strive to keep them affordable while offering high-quality care.

You can book an appointment directly through our website by selecting a suitable time. Payment confirms your booking and confirmation details will be sent to you via SMS and email after booking.
